I have yet to try this App but I know streaming radio sure chews up my battery life.

Rhapsody on Monday announced that it has added offline caching to the latest version of its iPhone/iPod touch/iPad app. The new feature lets users listen to music via the subscription service even when an Internet connection is spotty or nonexistent.
The company noted in its announcement "This is the first time Apple has approved this feature in the U.S." Spotify offers a similar feature to European smartphone owners, but as many an antsy music fan knows, that service has yet to make it to American shores.
Rhapsody recently released an app for the Android OS and is working on one for BlackBerry. The music service, which remained one of the bright lights in Real Networks' sputtering portfolio for a number of years, was spun off as its own company earlier this month.

This is great article below, also check out the video (Simple way to import your photos from a SD card to the iPad)

In its intended role, the adapter works as expected and will add images to the Photos app when plugged in. Besides supporting RAW from high-end cameras, the iPad will import any captured photos at full resolution, including the EXIF metadata from the original shot. Video is also supported, and surprisingly the iPad will let photographers trim videos much as you do with the iPhone 3GS' simple editor. Clips are cut short, iLounge notes; any video larger than 640x480 and 5MB will be shrunk in resolution and length to fit the length. It's not certain why this is, although it may be a holdover from the iPhone.

The iPad's Camera Connection Kit can be used for USB devices beyond just cameras. One test by TidBITS has discovered that it will work with most any USB headphone, headset or microphone, making it possible to either listen to music or take a VoIP call with normally computer-oriented add-ons. The call quality is "terrific" and could make it considerably easier to use Skype for those who don't want to use Bluetooth headsets.
The functionality also extends to keyboards, as a near-simultaneous check has shown that USB keyboards will work as well, although this was partly expected given the functionality of the official iPad Keyboard Dock. The convenience of the USB keyboard is also reduced as there's no stand when using the adapter.

This is a screen shot taken from my iPhone using "Camera for iPad", the app is running on my iPhone and iPad, essentially this app uses your iPhone as a camera for the iPad. You will notice the light bulb on the bottom of the picture, by turning this feature on the iPad screen turns white, so basically you are turning your iPad into a flash. Seems to be a strait forward app.

Apple’s formal release date for the 3G version of the iPad is still up in the air, but information posted on the Apple Online Store site says that the three flavors of the 3G models will ship to purchasers “by May 7th.”

For some weeks—since Apple released the Wi-Fi-only models of iPad–the company and its retail store employees have said only that the cellular versions would come out “by late April.” The May 7 date seems to confirm that new devices could be at retail stores in less than two weeks.

The prices for the Wi-Fi plus 3G iPads will be $629 for the 16-gigabyte version, $729 for 32-gigs and $829 for 64 gigabytes. Shipping for online purchases is free, the site says.

As far as service for the 3G models, it will be available through AT&T, and no contract will be required for cellular service, unlike with the iPhone. An unlimited monthly data plan is $30. There more details available here.

I know we have a few Canadians on this site and for those that do not live close to the border, you will have to wait just a little longer. If you are impatient and want your iPad right now, be ready to pay a premium online.

Apple Inc.'s decision to delay the sale of its iPad overseas may frustrate customers in Canada, Germany, France or Japan -- but it brightened the day of at least a few crafty fans in the United States.

So-called resellers, opportunists who scoop up hot products and sell them over the Web at inflated prices, have been charging premiums of more than US$500 for the Ipad on sites like Craigslist or eBay.

They could soon jack up prices even more, thanks to Apple's announcement this week that iPads will not go on sale outside the United States before late May. Until then, shoppers in Europe, Asia and the Middle East who can't wait for the iPad to hit local stores will have little choice but buy over the Web. "There is huge demand. I'm buying as many as I can," said Todd Davis of ToddsToyz.com,a Boston-based Web retailer that ships consumer electronics globally.

The firm charges US$100 to US$150 over list price for the devices, though some retailers on eBay were asking for US$1,200 or more for a high-end model that Apple sells for US$699.

Mr. Davis said he had only been able to get his hands on five units before they sold out, but planned to spend Wednesday afternoon scouring Boston area Apple stores and Best Buy Co Inc outlets for more.

British online retailer PurelyGadgets.co.uk was selling tablets for £590 (US$914) to £790 pounds, a hefty premium over their original price of US$499 to US$699. A salesman said they were almost sold out.

Apple has yet to announce overseas pricing. In the meantime, market forces will determine how much consumers pay, said Steve Baker, an analyst with market research firm NPD.

"Gray markets are the purest form of supply and demand. If you crimp the supply and demand doesn't go down, then prices will go up," he said.

In the United States, the device has proven more popular than some analysts had expected, selling 500,000 units in the week after its April 3 launch.

That caused sellouts at Best Buy and some Apple stores - the only direct sellers of the iPad - though the manufacturer has replenished supplies at some locations.

The company said it expected sales would likely continue to exceed supply over the next several weeks. For its overseas customers, it plans to announce international pricing and begin taking online orders on May 10.

Rogers Communications Inc said on Wednesday it will begin offering the iPad in Canada by the end of May.

This is not widely known but InterContinental Hotels have begun equipping concierge teams with Apple's iPad, the goal is to provide guests with directions through Google Maps technology, stream points of interest videos (activity recommendations) and make instant bookings at restaurants. Also rumors are swirling that the iPad will be employed in major Airports, so keep a look out for the device when you travel.

Sources say that Apple's iPad costs as little as $259.60 to build, now who wouldn't want the "kit/do it yourself version"? Two examples of material/cost for the iPad include a touchscreen display $95 and a $26.80 processor designed by Apple and manufactured by Samsung Electronics.
