GrooveMaker looks a little complicated at first but it’s so easy to use, this is great for anybody that would like to mix down music for a great price! (only $9.99 from iTunes). Do you love comic books? if yes then this is the App for you! With Strip Designer you can turn your photos into your own personal comic strips. I personally like this App because it is easy to use and the results are a well put together album ie "road trip album" I personally spent a couple of hours just adding word balloons "comments" to my friends faces

This is a the first App to have Actual 3D (2D and 3D mode) using the classic blue and red 3D glasses. Solar Walk is an educational tool for anyone who would like to know more about our solar system. This stunning app stands out among other astronomy apps having smooth graphics, animations and celestial music. Features include: "Fly to Planet"- Choose your planet in the far of distance and tap the rocket symbol and you will fly straight to the planet. "Read Info" - Tap the "i" button and you will be given general information about the selected planet or moon "Time Machine" - (This is my favorite) slide the "time scale" and watch the days months and years fly by, for instants you could find out the next time plants will be aligned.

Instant messaging has been one of the most overlooked features of the iPhone and iPad. Do to the lack of multitasking on these devices IM software has had little use, at least for me. When I run an IM app I want to still be able to surf the net, play games, work on an article, or even have my device on standby and watch tv, all while still being available to receive an IM

BeejiveIM supports a number of IM providers simultaneously. These include AIM®, iChat®, MobileMe®, MSN®/Windows Live®, Yahoo!®, MySpace, GoogleTalk®, ICQ®, Jabber, and Facebook Chat. Once your accounts are setup, BeejiveIM will allow you to appear online for a period of up to seven days. If someone sends you a message you will receive a push notification, much in the same way you get a text message. If the app happens to be running you will be notified much in the same way as iChat, or any other IM program for that matter.

The interface is simple and intuitive to use. It allows you to have multiple conversations at once as well as group chats. BeejiveIM is easy on your battery since the app is only running when you are engaged in a chat. Any other time all the load is on their servers.

One thing that has upset some IM users is the cost. This app is currently $9.99. Which is quite a bit more then the competition. Another disappointing thing, is if you want the app on both your iPhone and iPad you will have to pay twice. Beejive considers them both separate apps.

However in the case of this app. I think it is worth the high price. You get what you pay for and this truly is worth it if IM is an important part of your online experience. I however only have the app for my iPad, as I do not have a data plan for my phone. But I hear it is just as good for the iPhone.

The premise of Flight Control HD is simple. Form the edge of your screen planes of various sizes, shapes and speeds merge into "your" airspace. Your job is to draw a line (flight path) from the plane to it's designated landing strip, seems easy enough right?... Wrong! I found myself thinking all is under control until "CRASH!" mid air collision! despite my numerous scribbles on the screen (holding patterns) and planes on final, some tiny plane always slips pass me right into a jumbo! This game is very addictive and you will find yourself saying "just one more time"

* Game Play: Easy to use and addictive. 10/10
* Control: Simple! just draw lines. 9/10
* Graphics: Could use a little more detail. 7/10
* Music: You will catch yourself humming, not a lot of variety 7/10

One of the most graphically impressive games I have played is EA's Mirror's Edge. This iPad version of the popular console game, offers similar game play to the original. Mirror's edge for the iPad is a modern platform game. You control the main character by doing simple finger swipes on the screen. Swipe up for jump, down for slide, or a combination for wall runs, and flying kicks.

The game play does become repetitive after awhile. There is little story to keep you going, so it is a good thing the game only takes a few hours to complete. This game is fun however and it looks great! Its one of the first games you will show people when they ask to see your iPad. Worth checking out if you want some eye candy and a few hours of entertainment.
